3a: Axial T2W image shows a wedge shaped hyperintense lesion involving both gray and white matter in the right parieto-occipital region consistent with a watershed infarct. 3b: On high b value diffusion images the lesion is hypointense, in addition a hyperintense well demarcated lesion is seen in the right basal ganglia region not seen on the conventional T2W images. 3c - ADC maps clearly depict the occipital lesion as a chronic infarct while the right basal ganglia one is an acute infarct.
