Atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation. Axial CT at the level of the odontoid process (A) shows that the septal axis forms an acute angle with the transverse axis of atlas. The odontoid lies eccentrically between the lateral masses of C2. An inferior section (B) shows that the lateral mass of C1 (arrow) is displaced anterior to the superior articular surface of C2 (double arrow).
