A very pertinent question and a very peculiar situation. Along with decency, I would like to add credibility too. The three odd years that these candidates put in away from their families, toiling in 24- 48 hour shifts; which has no value at the examination table, is only hypocracy in the name of making good doctors. Focus shouldnot be on what the candidate does not know, focus should not be on not giving 100% result; Focus should be on weather the candidate be an asset to the depleting force of DOCTORS and to the society at large. We ask them to think of common diagnosis first but do we ask common questions? Sympathy and Empathy, dear friends.
